As doulas, it is vital that we acknowledge our own emotions and energy levels before, during and after a birth.  Using self practices to fully oxygenate your body and open your heart, this workshop is designed to prevent burnout and re-calibrate your healing hands.  Past participants have found it to be a wonderful place of respite and a short retreat to return to your home and your vocation more vibrant.  Return to your source and leave refreshed and restored to serve the ancient art of birth.  Learning about intuition, energy and the vibrations of sound will give you practices to take direclty into your next pre or post natal client visit.  Specific stress reduction and relaxation practices will be taught. As Michel Odent has remarked in interviews, ‘pregnant women need to singto their babies...it is a lost art needed to be re-awakened.’ Doulas need to know how sound is a powerful, primal and potent force in pregnancy, labor and birth and how to harness this element for their clients. The implications of using sound for labor and birth is profound and important tool for doulas to empower expectant families.
