About Us

Jill Wodnick, MA, CD(DONA) is a dynamic communicator using her words to inspire and empower.  Jill has years practicing as a certified birth doula, holistic childbirth educator and creator of women’s rites and rituals for pregnancy and birth.  She has trained women’s health professionals at Expectant Head Start, the Black Infant Mortality Resource Reduction Center as well as hundreds of expectant parents!  Specializing in pre natal yoga, uses the tools of shamanism, meditation and yoga.  Frequently quoted as an expert in childbirth, pregnancy and parenthood topics, Jill is passionate about the essential topic of maternal-child health.

 

With a vibrant academic background, a passion for public policy and outstanding extemporaneous speaking, she is a sought after communicator. 

 

Jill has taught public speaking, interpersonal communication, oral interpreation and creative drama for Seton Hall Prep, Seton Hall Univerity, the PA State System of Higher Education's Undergraduate Women's Leadership Institute, Kent Place's Girls Leadership Institute, and the NJ Governor's School of Public Issues.  She teaches prenatal yoga classes at the Montclair Family Center, teaches doula trainings  and other classes for labor and delivery professionals.  Jill was recently asked to serve on the Board of Advisors for Earth Birth along with Deepak Chopra, MD, helping to assist safe childbirth in war torn regions.

 

Jill has an MA in corporate & public communication  plus numerous holistic trainings, accredidations and experiences.  She authors essays on the passage to motherhood and can be found singing, baking, and playing Yahtzee with her husband and her three sons, Nathaniel, Sebastian and Emerson in Montclair, NJ.
